The difference looked like you couldn't click things in advance like if you didn't have a free worker, it would tell you that instead of being able to queue things. I tried the hard mode and was able to do it with 3 stars in the first chapter but since I had just completed the game on normal, I really had no desire to go play it again. The game also features a relaxed no timer mode, normal mode and hard mode. I can't explain it, I just love this game. I like Northern Tale too but this one just has that extra something special that I like. I can only hope they keep making more and more in this series. I am afraid of spiders and they didn't bug me and since I got to eradicate them, I liked it even more. There are big spiders in this game but they are cartoons so it shouldn't scare anyone. I could really live without the fire scenes again as they took me forever. Each one made it a little more challenging. Each chapter is in a new place and this time you deal with fire, floods, falling rocks etc. Sometimes you don't need to do anything extra than what the goal is and I would forget that and fail the level only to look at it again and go ohhhh I don't need all that fluff. It comes down to what you build, what you don't build even if you have space and what the goals are. Level 40 is quite hard let me tell you! It took me almost 6 times to get 3 stars in it and even complete the game lol I feel so accomplished because I was able to devise a plan that worked in most levels. I played on normal mode and I was able to get 3 stars on each level, even the bonus ones. Some levels are way harder than others but with a little strategy, all are solvable. There are 40 levels and 4 bonus levels (available if you get 3 stars on each 10 levels in its chapter). That is how I feel about this game/series.

In Roads of Rome I was able to achieve gold in all the levels after much trial and error and it was rewarding.

Its comparable to Roads of Rome to me because that series is my favorite builder/TM.

Game Play: Collect the usual resources, wood, food rent etc.etc.Īll in all I enjoy this one a lot like I did the others. Music: Just right for the game and not intrusive in the least. Graphics: Awesome! Clear as a bell on my monitor. And off we go in another adventure of Viking Saga. But off Ingolf goes in search for this diamond. I think Pops doesn't want his daughter to marry Ingolf personally, because Pops thinks it's impossible to find this diamond. Story: Ingolf wants to get married, but good ol' pops said not until you find the biggest diamond in the world. Ummm Realore, we aren't speed readers lol. The one gripe I did have was when the character talked to each other, it went so fast. The narrator I am learning to tune out :) There is a disable voice button, (like mentioned in the other thread, if Royal Envoy 3 did that I would have bought that game too). I am not sure if you realized, but if you hit the X2 and then collect the rent, you get double rent. Realore did it again! Nice surprise today, yay! Viking Saga and Northern Tales, my two favs. There are over 40 levels of pure Viking Time Management fun, enjoy! To achieve the tasks in the allotted time frame you will need to take advantage of the bonus bar at the bottom of the screen that when filled can be used to freeze time, add another Viking, make Vikings work faster, make Vikings build faster and demolish faster.
The goal is to complete the levels tasks within a certain amount of time, as time diminishes, you loose stars, 3 stars remaining is the goal. You will need to fix roads, and bridges in order to progress, chop trees for wood, pick berries and collect various resources. There are also buildings such as sawmills which will produce wood. Huts produce silver but need food to maintain for example.
Farms produce food, but require silver to build and maintain. In order to complete the tasks at hand you have to strategically plan which buildings to build to achieve those goals. The tasks are shown at the bottom of the screen such as lighting 10 fire pits which will allow more of the area to be seen. This is an epic Viking saga and by far the best of the series. All For Love! Northern King Ingolf has set sail to 4 different continents in search of the worlds largest diamond, the Stone of Destiny, so that he can wed the love of his life.
